Allan works with the Central Bank of Ireland. In recent years, he has been a member of the Bank’s and the European Central Bank’s executive risk management committees, and has had a significant role in supporting the Central Bank Board’s risk and audit committees.
Allan is a PhD economist by profession with significant experience of working in central banking at home and abroad. He has additional qualifications in communications, risk management and leadership. He lectures on various risk management issues with the Institute of Banking in Ireland, and internationally for other central banks. Allan’s late mother was a lifelong asthmatic.
