We are inviting members of the community to take part in an important research study exploring how people experience home heating and access to support schemes in Ireland.
If you live in a household that relies on solid fuels (such as coal, turf, or wood) for cooking or heating, we would love to hear from you. This research aims to better understand the realities of living in a home reliant on solid fuels. As part of this, we are interested in your respiratory health, including asthma, your views on alternative heating methods, and what matters most to you when it comes to keeping your home warm and healthy.
Participation would involve a one-hour interview at a time that suits you. If possible, this can take place in your home, as this helps us better understand your day-to-day experience, but we will always work around what you are most comfortable with.
Your insights will help inform future policies and supports, with the aim of making heating transitions more accessible, fair, and effective in improving air quality and health.
If you would be interested in taking part, or would like to learn more, please get in touch with Anna today at anna.bourke@asthmasociety.ie.
Deadline: 30 April 2026
All information shared will be treated confidentially.
