We are delighted to announce a series of FREE community workshops this autumn, offering people with asthma – and parents of children with asthma – the chance to learn, connect, and find support.
The workshops will take place in:
- Limerick: Savoy Hotel, Saturday 18 October, 11am–2pm
- Portlaoise: Laois Leisure, Saturday 25 October, 11am–2pm
- Galway: Ballybane Library, Thursday 20 November, 2pm-5pm (Register here)
- Dublin: Date and venue TBC
What to expect
Each workshop will feature a mix of expert advice, lived experience, and practical sessions to help participants feel more confident in managing asthma. Highlights include:
- Expert speakers on asthma basics, medication, and preventive care
- Patient advocate stories from people living with asthma
- Practical sessions led by a physiotherapist or mental health professional
- Nurse-led inhaler technique support and diagnostic testing
- Interactive Q&A and small-group discussions
- Activities for families and children to encourage learning in a fun way
- Information stands and take-home resources
