We are calling on parents and guardians of children with asthma to take part in a new survey exploring the realities of living with childhood asthma in Ireland.

Asthma affects thousands of children across the country, but the day-to-day impact on families — from managing symptoms to navigating school, sleep, and activity — is not always fully understood.

This short survey aims to capture the experiences of families and highlight key challenges, including access to care, school support, and the wider impact of asthma on children’s lives.

The findings will be used to inform our communications and advocacy work, including media activity around Asthma Awareness Week (4–10 May 2026).

By taking part, parents can help:

  • Raise awareness of childhood asthma
  • Highlight the real-life impact on families
  • Support calls for improved asthma care and services

The survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete, and responses are anonymous. Participants will also have the option to enter a prize draw to win a €100 One4All voucher.

The survey will close on 24 April.

The Asthma Society of Ireland encourages as many families as possible to take part and help ensure the voices of children with asthma — and their parents — are heard.
