Asthma Awareness Week 2024

Do you know the signs of uncontrolled asthma?

Asthma is a complex disease and managing it effectively can be challenging. But with the right medication, support and lifestyle strategies, most people with asthma should be able to live well with few/infrequent symptoms and little disruption to their daily lives.

Persistent asthma symptoms are not “normal” and may be serious, even life-threatening. It is therefore important to recognise the signs of uncontrolled asthma and when to seek help. This year, during Asthma Awareness Week (6-12 May), we’re raising awareness about uncontrolled asthma and what to do if you’re concerned.

Our recent survey of people with asthma in Ireland has shown worrying signs of potentially high levels of uncontrolled asthma.

If this sounds like you, take the one-minute quiz below to check your symptoms and whether you may need an asthma review.
