Help us fight Asthma with every breath
#MyAsthmaStory: Ingrid McLoughlin
In case you missed it: Ingrid McLoughlin from Howth in Dublin had a very difficult two years because of her asthma. It stopped her from doing many of the activities she loves in life such as dancing and running. She was completely dependent on her reliever inhaler to stay alive. We are all aware that Covid 19 has affected many countries, our own included. We here at the Asthma Society of Ireland are inundated with calls to our adviceline. We are doing our utmost to answer every call and deal with every message that comes in.
We know and understand that many people need help managing their asthma and the Coronavirus and to get advice on the best course of action they should take in these uncertain times. Many are genuinely scared and upset but we simply do not have the resources to provide everyone with help. Our staff are working as fast as they can to get back to people but the simple fact is that we need funds to support people at this terrible time.
As we move more and more into self distancing and self isolation and we have been liaising closely with the HSE to ensure patients have the most up-to-date and accurate information available to them. We need to look after the vulnerable, those on their own and the older generation who’s only means of finding out information is through our offices it is imperative that we have the funding to provide all of this.
We are asking for your help – if you can make a donation, no matter how big or small, every penny donated will help us in our fight against Covid 19 and help to fight asthma with every breath.
We thank you most sincerely for your support.
