Understanding the Impact of Asthma on Children & Families

Nurse and client

Asthma affects 1 in 5 children in Ireland so we’re planning a new research project to understand the impact of asthma on children and their families.

The research aims to examine the experience, issues and day-to-day lives of children with asthma and their parents or guardians. We will use the findings to help us deliver better information and support services for young people and their families and communities.

We are currently looking for children with asthma between the ages of 7 and 14 and their parents or guardians to take part in a series of focus groups. Each focus group will consist of 6-8 people, sharing their thoughts and experiences with the help & direction of professional researcher.

Each family who participates will receive a €25 One-4-all voucher as a thank you for their time and contribution.
